Best Teen Chef Culinary Scholarship

The first-, second-, and third-place winners each will receive full-tuition scholarships worth more than $30,000. The fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-place winners each will be awarded a half-tuition scholarship worth more than $15,000. The seventh-, eighth-, and ninth-place winners each will be awarded a quarter-tuition scholarship worth more than $7,500. Each remaining national candidate will be awarded a $2,000 tuition scholarship. All decisions will be final.

Preliminary Competition Eligibility
Participants must be high school seniors with a minimum 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average. Submit an application to The Art Institute you wish to attend that offers a Culinary Arts program.

Preliminary Competition Entry Requirements

Submit a notebook containing the following:

A menu with descriptions for a two-course meal, including an appetizer, soup or salad, and a main course with sauce, garnish, vegetable, and starch;

A detailed recipe and directions for each course.

Write and submit a paragraph on why you would like to be a culinary professional, and identify who inspires you and why.

Submit a current high school transcript.
